Well, I'm sure they're looking at some numbers, and are probably seeing
their sales dropping. They may also be trying to position the company as
something more likely to attract a buyer or to go public with (one
should never assume a family company will stay that way, eventually a
generation will come along which just isn't interested in the company).
The problem today is that toys are either tied to media, or are generic
toys (look at those lines of generic toys that both Target and Walmart
carry. LEGO probably won't fit into those.
