Don't know about 'where else', but looking at that garage (310) made
me remember...
I truly believe that was my first Lego set. Must have been around -59
or -60 sometime. I remember putting up a sock on the day before
Christmas, and when I woke up in the morning, the sock had turned into
a pair of trousers, containing that garage (I also got some roadsigns
and a car). Wow...
The plate is still in my 'old lego' box (at my parents), the door is
long gone, someone stepped on it I think. I have no idea what happened
to the sign and the pumps...
I also recognize the wheel box (314), it must have been a birthday
some year(s) later. The contents of that box exactly matches the
remains in my 'old lego' shoe box.
In my (only remaining) idea book from the early 60:s, I remember there
was a page with 'architectural' examples, but that page has been sadly
missing for many years - I'm sure there was an Empire State Building
at man's height on one of the pictures.
