Folks,

In the 1980's I purchased about 20 "architectural" parts packs (all
small plates (1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 and 2x4) in Germany, that look like
they were geared towards adults, and not
children.  Recently EBAY has been auctioning a few 1963-65 architectural

parts packs with adults on the box sleeve (geared to young architects?).

These parts pack were always the plates in different sizes (sets #518,
519, 520, 521).  I have never been able to locate a larger set that the
architectural parts packs were to be used with, until now.  In browsing
Horst Lehner's website, there is a wealth of classic LEGO catalogs and
brochures.  In the 1965 Danish catalog, I finally found 3 sets that
complement the Architectural Parts packs.  They are sets #750, 751 and
752.  Just by looking at the pictures of the boxes, you can tell that
these are not geared for childred to play with.

Check them out (top left of picture):

These are MODULEX bricks - 1/3 the size of regular Lego but the same in
every other aspect.  I was just taking about them:

No, these are *not* Modulex bricks.
It's a regular LEGO bricks set geared to architects. Great set, looks
distinguished, has lots of transparant bricks (besides black, grey and blue)
and a (cardboard) 'LEGO-to-real' scale ruler.
I know because I had one in my hands just a week ago, on a local LEGO trade
market. I didn't buy it because it was a lot of money and I already had
purchased a lot of other stuff I was actually looking for. My friend bought
the set however. Now I think back, I suppose I should have bought it,
though.
