It was rhetorical - but I see your point.

Nope, it shows that you do not understand what class warfare(1) is. It
implies that Lego sellers are of a different social or economic class from
Lego buyers - do you really think that is that case? To a certain extent, it
could be argued that it implies that Lego buyers and sellers are distinct
groups - I am sure that is not the case 99% of the time (look at brickbay).
The reality is that a great deal of AFOLs here buy/sell/trade Lego no
mater what their social or economic class. This is pretty much what I said
in the message you replied to. If you had picked apart the rest of the
message instead of acting like some wisecrack(2) perhaps you would have
seen that.
My comment was not a criticism of you general position on Lego auctions,
only your terminology. Like I said in the post you replied to - what is the
alternative to us making good deals on Lego sales or trades - a quota system?

(1) In the UK we do not have a strong economic class system. Class warfare
tends to refer to social class. I expect the opposite in true in the USA?

| (...) I do not see what bashing sellers for making a profit has to do with class warfare? Saying that they use economic might, or their social class to do so without good reason may well be. But that is just the way of the world. I do not rate (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.general)
