I bet that KKK is making this pitch to get the beaurocrats in Copenhagen
to make some changes. You have to realize that there is not that much
going on in Jutland (the part of Denmark that Billund is in), commerce
wise, and LEGO is the major industry in the area of Billund. So if
"LEGO catches cold, Jutland catches pneumonia". If he threatens to
sell, the likelihood if the company remaining in Denmark are not so
good. And the beaurocrats realize that.
And after all his family (and the people who own Maersk) are Denmarks
only billionaires. So they do have a lot of influence in the country.
