I might be able to contribute to something like this pretty soon. I'm
working with a friend on a workgroup bookmark system which would be very
similar to what you want. The best part of it (in my view) is that it has a
Windows client (also works totally web based for Unix and Mac users out
there) which allows you to drag and drop URLs from Internet Explorer or
Netscape and have them stored in the bookmarks page (so in terms of
usability its as easy to use as the bookmarks in IE). It leaves an icon
running in the tray for you to drag your URLs onto (so it doesn't take up
much desktop space, about 16x16 pixels).
Anyway, it'll probably be useful in a few weeks. We're working on it in our
spare time and haven't had much of that recently.
