I pretty much assemble the set the way the instructions say unless there's
one part of the set I REALLY want to assemble before the book indicates.
But I always assemble the figs first. I buy sets for the main model, but
the figs will often help me make my decision so it's normal for me that I
make them first. Also, I sometimes have the figs "build" the set in
something of a corny story (for space, most often they're trapped somehow or
a big creature is after them :D)

| When building a set, do you assemble the minifigures first or last? Does it depend exactly on the minifigures? For some reason my own answer to this question has been gnawing at me as I put them together last and don't know why I do it. It reminds (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.general)
