    Re: Packaging —Kim Toll
FWIW, I only keep the box itself (the outside shell, with the printing on it). I don't keep any of the plastic bags or plastic trays. And if I buy a used set in an auction that says 'with box', I only assume that they have the outer shell of the (...) (26 years ago, 15-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Packaging —Duane Hess
I've only recently begun saving the bags since TLG has started printing the set pictures on the bags. Usually though, I only expect to get the pieces and instructions with auction winnings. Duane (...) (26 years ago, 15-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

         Re: Packaging —Simon Robinson
OK - thanks to you and everyone for your comments. Good point about the newer bags that have sets printed on them. Perhaps I might start chucking out my bags - then I'll be able to save more space by putting more of the boxes inside each other. On a (...) (26 years ago, 17-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Packaging —Scott Edward Sanburn
I bought a few sets on E-bay, I bought them for the pieces and mini-figs, but I don't expect the plastic piece holders (You can buy the material for it at a very cheap rate), nor the cardboard container either. I just figure it is a waste of time (...) (26 years ago, 16-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Packaging —Selçuk Göre
(...) Common for most of the points. I only keep one copy of each diferent catalog/brochure, only the outer shells for smaller sets, but also trays for bigger ones, and certainly none of the bags (except at least one copy of not-boxed, I mean (...)          Re: Packaging —Selçuk Göre
My news sending preference are set to plain text but the problem may be my code page, which is supporting Turkish (ISO something). Actually I use both Navigator (at home) and OE (at work). I'm not deep in those NNTP thingies, so I don't know (...) (26 years ago, 17-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

Is there some setting in OE I can change, so it never changes codepage automatically? (...) (26 years ago, 17-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Packaging —David Till
(...) I tend to keep the outer shell, and inner tray - which I use for storage of my parts. Plastic bags are easilly substituted with ziplock type bags if you were trying to recreate a set. Plastic trays I used to keep, but these took up so much (...) (26 years ago, 16-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Packaging —Mike Stanley
(...) I personally throw everything except the set and instructions away, and I'm not too inclined to waste too much space on the instructions. If I buy multiples of a set, and I usually do, I only keep one set of instructions. (26 years ago, 16-Feb-99, to lugnet.general)
