I went and bought one, to check it out. Basically, the top surface of the
chassis is the size of a 2x6 brick, with studs, except for the center 4
studs. The driver sits where those center studs would be. The top part of
the racer is made of two pieces, front and back, that snap onto the
chassis. The wheels are permanently attached to the chassis.
The biggest piece is a triangular box that doubles as the launcher. Cheesy
soft plastic.
So there is some (small) amount of building, but it's very weak. And the
Racers are even smaller than I thought they'd be--I figured they'd be DUPLO
sized.

Interesting. I think the new US S@H catalog has the complete picture.

| I was at Walmart this weekend as part of my post-holiday trolling, looking for all those odd sets that pop up on the shelves when everything new is sold out and I found the new Roborider boss, #8516 and one of the new racer sets, I forget which one (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)
