    Cannons —Pete Ryan
Hi all, I am a returning Lego user. I have just started to learn the fun of lego after childhood (just turned 21)... But I have a question, I just bought set 3053 and in some pictures it shows a cannon that is able to shoot (has the peg in the (...) (24 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hi, Pete! (...) The US sets do not have a shooting cannon included. This has been true for a long time - I'm not sure if the shooting cannons *were* ever available in the US. As I understand it, the cannons were not used over here, not because (...) (24 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)

          Re: Cannons —Jonathan Delinger
Did all the LEGO cannons fire by springs? The one I have (sadly only one...) fires with a spring, but I seem to remember a friend about 6 years ago who had several where you had to pull the "pin" back and then flick it with a finger to make it (...)       (...) There was an interim cannon design in the U.S. where the spring was essentially removed. It can be retro-fitted with a spring to fire. It was replaced by the current solid one-piece cannon. They are probably the rarest of the Lego cannon. (...) (24 years ago, 21-Jan-00, to lugnet.general)
