This thread has been great fun to read and view. I came across it a bit late,
but I wanted to share with you something similar I did.

In November, I looked at all of the sets inside 1298. I liked how the little
paper sheets showed alternate models and thought I'd give it a try.

I opened all 24 bags at once, then tried to make 24 new models, using those
elements. This wasn't easy beyond about 15. But here are pics of some that I
saved:

Cool.  They look good.  I especially like the pic with what I think of
as three kids in costume.  It's the second one.  The nice hardwood
floors provided by the paper-cutter is good too!

What do you take those pictures with?  They look really(!) sharp.

Chris

Thanks for the comments. Yes, those are kids in costume (as a bunny, helicopter,
and bird).

Todd and I take all of our pictures with a SONY Mavica FD91. It's one of those
digital cameras that put your data onto a floppy disk.

I apply quite a bit of light, either indirect sunlight or, as in this case, a
high powered lamp. I used a sheet of plain white paper to bounce the light from
opposite side onto dark side of models. That evens out the lighting and helps to
define edges.
