I ran out and bought a copy of the 1298 Advent Calendar tonight ('cos it's Dec. 1). Anyway, I thought it might be fun to post some silly pics of alternate models I made from the Dec. 1 set bag. I hope to build three or four alternates from each mini-bag and post them daily to my web page. Ok, so today all I had to work with was a Santa minifig. I managed three pics: (URL) first is a lady fresh from the hairdresser or hatshop, second is a beggar and last a bald man with a neatly trimmed beard hey...give me a break...there was only 1 (...) 		What Happened to The Advent Calendar Fun?

(...) Dec. (...) Does anyone know what happens to the advent calendars after December 24th? It seems that they are really not worth the full $20 they sell for before then. Do stores mark them down? (...) but I wanted to share with you something similar I did. In November, I looked at all of the sets inside 1298. I liked how the little paper sheets showed alternate models and thought I'd give it a try. I opened all 24 bags at once, then tried (...) (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)
