The Lego Beach Fire and Rescue Service has taken delivery of a brand new Hess Firefighting Apparatus Heavy Pumper. It has been assigned as Engine One operating out of Station One. Instructions will be available as soon as I get around to cleaning up (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

set 1775 (the airline promotional plane) from S@H has no less than 4 of the "double" airplane windows in white (2x4x2?) that is if they haven't run out... :?) bishop Will Hess wrote in message ... (...) (25 years ago, 20-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New LBFR Engine

(...) As far as I know, the 2x4x2 vertical windshield only comes in clear, I haven't ever seen any in trans-blue. (25 years ago, 20-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Nor did I...until I saw an auction on eBay that appears to have these. Check this link and let me know if this part is there or if I've just imagined it :-) (25 years ago, 20-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks for the compliment. I'd prefer to use the thinwalls but the 1x6 brick provides far better stability for the model. (...) Ahhh, I see now. As Allan said, they come in service pack 5150. The only problem with that is 5150 is only a European service pack (I think). (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New LBFR Engine

(...) Well, since I didn't bid on that lot (not enough other parts I would use) it's a good thing I have an offer to trade one of these from someone across the pond. I wonder if the airplane windows come in trans-clear? Will (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New LBFR Engine

If you mean the ones that are U-shaped and vertical, nah, they must have been relatively common in trans-blue, as I know I have at least 2 around here somewhere. (...) Tom Stangl ***(URL) Visual FAQ home ***(URL) Bay Area DSMs (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Looks like they're out .. I tried ordering one this morning and they were all out. The nice woman I spoke with said there will likely not be any replacements as they are not in production and are an older set (1994 I believe). I'm guessing you (...)
