  Re: Two Toned Tree

You're right. Good catch (also to Ray on the LURP). Do you think this is actually two different tones of plastic, or something we could all duplicate with existing trees and a can of white spraypaint (I suspect the latter)? Anyone else think the (...)   Re: Two Toned Tree

(...) If you look closely at the S@H large picture, it appears that the LURP may also be two toned (white and aqua). Ray (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Two Toned Tree

Hello! (...) Yes, that's a real item. I doubt, though, it will be released in other sets as well. LEGO is world champion in "Releasing anything usefull in just one set". :-) Bye Jojo (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

  Two Toned Tree

I mentioned this in a reply to another post, but I only had one answer and I haven't seen anyone else comment about it, so I thought I'd mention it again. Has anyone else looked closely at the new Bellville Ice Queen set ? In the background is a fir (...) (21 years ago, 14-Feb-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Nuernberg 2005 Show Pictures

I had the pleasure of walking through LEGO's exhibit at Nuremberg on opening day of Spielwarenmesse. I took no pictures (technically, photos are 'verboten' at the tradeshow -- or so it says on the access badges). The Star Wars area had a life sized (...)   Re: Awww, man! Why do the girls get all the cool stuff! :-D

(...) snip Has anyone checked the Snow Queen set closely ? It looks like a two toned Fir tree in the background - white top with green lower branches. If thats real and not fake, I reckon it will end up in high demand. (21 years ago, 12-Feb-05, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.general)

  Need help identifying set

I having some trouble identifying a set I purchased in the late 1990s. I'm pretty sure it was a freestyle set, but it came with a strange base, shown here: (URL) base didn’t have any studs, just spaces to place one 16x24 base plate and three 8x16 (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

Awww, man! Why do the girls get all the cool stuff! :-D

Man, the color variations on certain parts in these sets just make me lime green with envy! Why do the girls' sets have such cool parts? More importantly, why don't these sets show up on store shelves? I know I'd shell out (no pun intended given the (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-05, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.general)

Re: Transparent Baseplates found in display

(...) Keep your eye on BrickLink, and eBay, they appear there from time to time. Unfortunately you are not the only person who craves some, (raises hand) so they tend to be spendy and (in the case of BL) go fast. (21 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Transparent Baseplates found in display

I absolutely, positively, have to have one of those. I need something to represent the XY plane in my 3D class, and the regular green/gray baseplates aren't cutting it (the XY plane in my CAD systems is transparent). I end up using a piece of plexi, (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

  Transparent Baseplates found in display

I was at the Bellevue LEGO store a few days ago and they had a new type of display up: an area for people to play with various sets that they are selling. I think it's a good idea. Most of the models were partially built. Unfortunately there (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Ancient Lego Windows

(...) Note also in Eric's catalog diagram there are 3 other classic tall windows, a 1x3x3 (it looks like a 1x2x2), a 1x6x3 with shutters (the catalog incorrectly shows the shutters as unpainted, in this instance they are red) and also a 1x6x3 3 pane (...)
