I having some trouble identifying a set I purchased in the late 1990s. I'm pretty sure it was a freestyle set, but it came with a strange base, shown here: (URL) base didnt have any studs, just spaces to place one 16x24 base plate and three 8x16 (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)

Man, the color variations on certain parts in these sets just make me lime green with envy! Why do the girls' sets have such cool parts? I absolutely, positively, have to have one of those. I need something to represent the XY plane in my 3D class, and the regular green/gray baseplates aren't cutting it (the XY plane in my CAD systems is transparent). I end up using a piece of plexi, (...) (21 years ago, 8-Feb-05, to lugnet.general)
