Re: Lego seems to be copying Mega Blocks

(...) While this is true. 2 years ago at Brickswest the then VP of LEGO Direct stated something to the effect that TLC was not ready to deal/create toys dealing with conflict from WWII and onward. The VP personally liked the models that AFOLs had (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: AFOL records is up and running!!

(...) Taller than 12 feet? Possible, but doubtful. How many people would have enough ceiling height to display it fully assembled? Eric had to take it out into his carport just to take photos of the complete structure, and it appears to have just (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.general)

  New MOC: Grolsch Brewery Plant

In the netherlands, the Grolsch brewery, built a whole new brewery plant from the ground up, to replace two existing plants elsewhere. On the premisses, the buildings alone extend over 600 by 250 meters, and were designed by the architect to be both (...)   Re: AFOL records is up and running!!

(...) Ok, folks, this is a challenge. Here: (URL) a medium-tall (nearly 8 feet) gothic skyscraper built out of, er, a Lego competitor. Surely someone has something taller in Lego? (22 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

(...) Thanks Dave! but I fear I'll be a disappointment - all my clone parts (most of which have come hidden in ebay or BL lots) are consigned to the "curiousities" bin. Of course if anyone wants to pay shipping, I'll gladly send it to you but I only (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

New part spotted in Lego Magazine for May + other stuff!!

Hey all, Just got this yesterday. On page 13 there's an ad for the next Designer Set: Deep Sea Predators (available this summer). In addition to quite a few of the new glow-in-the-dark teeth, it also appears to have a new type of corner piece. (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Can anyone identify this part?

(...) Hmm... And here's Tim protesting too much... Watch out, LDraw--I predict that Tim's certain to come out of the clone closet in the near future. Dave! (22 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)
