  Re: Too much Lego?

(...) According to Peeron, I've dumped about $150 a month into my collection in the short time since emerging from my dark age a very short time ago, so I'm sort of playing catch up.   Re: Too much Lego?

What is this phrase, "too much LEGO"? I read the words but don't understand them in that order... ;) (...) I've been on a buying spree for the last six months and have approximately 75,000 pieces. Before that, it was about 50,000. (...) I keep it (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

(...) Why would you want links in white? I'm curious to know. The part I'd like that doesn't exist exist is the black version. I mean you can't get it in sets or from Lego direct, (but you can from pitsco) so therefore in a way it doesn't exist. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Clubs/Events - Tips and Tricks

(...) I agree with Calum - besides, estimating the pieces is a good way to drive home what sort of achievement such a layout is. I also find it is a good way to talk about the designing elements of building with lego (ie "That spaceship containes a (...)   Re: Medium Blue alongside Gray in 4728 Privet Drive

(...) Most of what you're seeing in the odd color look is the fact that the blue and grey have pretty similar color value (i.e. they're in the same range of a light/dark scale), but they're not the same color. Any medium value color will look odd (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Too much Lego?

(...) In the words of U2, "you can never get enough of what you don't really need." I think for many, the answer "how much is too much" depends on what kind of stuff you build and on what you do with your finished constructions. Personally, I do not (...)   Lego Library

I work in a university library (and I used to work in a public library) and I have always wondered how the library concept could be integrated with the Lego play concept. I think there is an opportunity with the Designer series of sets. If Lego (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Too much Lego?

The recent discussions about the color change and people's buying habits got me thinking about how much we as individuals spend on Lego. In particular, at least a couple of people in this thread ((URL) admitted to spending between $2,000-$5,000 or (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Medium Blue alongside Gray in 4728 Privet Drive

(...) Sorry Tom but what you're calling regular gray is gone. I don't buy your arguments in general either. The model of the Ford was for a 6-wide Lego model a remarkable piece of work. For the scale it looks very much like the original. Plus it (...) (22 years ago, 22-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
