  Lego Brand Distinction on Shelves

(...) Actually, Kmart is worse. In the stores I visit, the few Lego sets are interspersed among the vast quantities of MegaBloks, BTR, and K'nex. Not just on the same shelf, but with the competition above and below Lego product, and sometimes on (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

I would like to respectfully request that when posting, don't refer to Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen as "KKK." Thanks (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Parts Catalog 0.0.37 can now make labels

(...) Excellent, I can make labels for those parts that Jeff Boen didn't make. How does Parts Catalog detect the LDraw directory? Maybe I missed something in the program but I had to manually edit the PartsCat.ini file in order for Parts Catalog to (...) (...) make Onyx-style labels, but it seems to have disappeared. I'll have to use this this weekend (when I visit my parents, they-who-have-a-printer). There are some additional features that would be nice: The ability to customize each label (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.storage, lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.inv, FTX)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) I've noticed the same thing. I generally take a minute to spread the offending material as far as possible from the good stuff, so it's clear what's what, but it's a losing proposition in the long run, since it gets mixed up before I leave the (...) (...) Since TLG is family owned, I would presume that this is referring to whomever TLG has lines of credit with (banks, etc). What happens in DK... is bankruptcy there at all like the US ? (peering over the edge into the abyss) (...) (22 years ago, 17-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) You're not alone. The TRU stores in the Vancouver area (BC, Canada) are like that too. LEGO used to take up one entire aisle, but now their space has decreased to about 50% with the remaining space being taken up by Megabloks or Best Lock! (...) (22 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: How have the new colors affected your recent buying decisions?

(...) I've been bugging stores in my area to find out when these will be in stock. So far I'm being told April at the earliest. I am giddy about these little things. They just look like so much fun. Am I crazy to think that kids will appreciate not (...) (22 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: KKK described latest restructuring as "last chance" for Lego in FT article

(...) TLG needs a better Lego police force. Here in upstate New York, my local North Utica Walmart has both Lego and megabloks sets on the shelves. The thing is, unlike a year ago, when there was a clear distinction between an aisle of Lego sets and (...) (22 years ago, 16-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)
