Re: Quantifying and Classifying the LEGO Community

(...) Many thanks Tim, your reply is really encouraging. I currently try to figure out the best way to write a building tutorial. The three major difficulties are: 1. It is REALLY intimidating to write the first tutorial ever. I don't want to be (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.fun.community)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

(...) Nick, I realy like your site. But I'm one of those people who lurk more than they post. So I read your post and went to your site, having a good time there. BUT I did not respond to your post. Well, that's just li'll me, but my guess is that a (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

(...) This whole issue leaves me unsure of where I stand. On the one hand, I think people should be nice. On the other hand, a few people do seem to constantly be whining that no one posts responses to their posts, or that so and so is being mean (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

(...) I can only suggest to you what I do: ignore Tom's postings. He has a compulsion to flame people. He did it way back on RTL, and he continues to do it here, though he usually restrains himself outside of off-topic debate, so I don't make an (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

(...) I said before, my previous statement that started this mess was one made out of impulse at the end of a bad day and did not really reflect the way I feel. I would have retracted it/changed it if I could. The reason that I started posting here (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

Note the FUT, I don't think this belongs in .general anymore... (...) There's nothing wrong with wanting replies. But if you EXPECT them, and complain if you don't get them, the problem is not everyone else, the problem is you. If you need (...)   Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

(...) Well, I think that is a major part of people posting their MOCs and sites here - they want to hear a kind word or two directed towards them. What is wrong with that? I like Nick's site - it was one of the first sites I linked to when I opened (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Some Weird Action Team turns 4 years old!

Well, I'd say your reply pretty much proves my point. Unless you're on medication, you must be depressed/angry a lot, as you can't seem to handle the slightest bit of criticism or controversy. I stand by my initial statement (though it was a bit of (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: What's so Adult about it Anyway ?

In lugnet.general, Tim Courtney writes: <snip> (...) Yeah, I've always been a big fan of the concept. Granted, I don't build with it, but I think it is a brillant way to get gets building and learning about basic mechanics. The audience for these (...)   Re: What's so Adult about it Anyway ? (was: Quantifying and Classifying the LEGO Community

(...) I used to be on the side of encouraging clubs to not have age requirements, however, under more consideration, I'm more open to the idea. In my opinion, the biggest reason is the way our country handles child abuse allegations. Because of the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.fun.community)
