Re: Now does this qualify as good Lego marketing?

(...) owner (...) Irrespective of whether it's an official Zippo or an officially-approved use of the Lego logo, who on earth is the target market for this product?   Now does this qualify as good Lego marketing?

Hi everyone! Well, as we all know, Lego has really expanded its name with everyday names such as the NBA, MLS, Nike, Shell, etc. etc. But has Lego ever been involved in a poor marketing decision? I think I may have found one marketing decision that (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: XP and 1349 Steven Speilberg Moviemaker Set

The XP patch is now mention on the Lego Studios support page. But, you have to call them and ask for a CD. Why not make a patch for download, like everyone else ... ?   Raves for 3431 and Lego Basketball in General

I just wanted to take a few minutes and do some raving about how much I like the new Lego NBA Basketball sets. Initially, I had very little interest in the announcement of this new theme since I’m completely apathetic about the world of professional (...)   Re: Brick Sorting

Be sure to check out this article as well. (URL) it is not an "all-purpose" sorting solution, the containers presented are pretty cool. Steven (23 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Thanks for that idea! Never thought of skipping the lids to avoid storing air. /Tore Where I live, we have to pay SEK 10 (~US$1.10) for three candy boxes :( but they're worth it! :) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Need help to guesstimate the size of my collection!

(...) Note - the blue Creator tubs can be compacted up to 5:1 if bricks are stacked, 4:1 with little to no stacking. But that's because 300 of the 1K bricks are 1x1s. (23 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Need help to guesstimate the size of my collection!

Dave, If your collection is 500K, then I'd better not even THINK about how large mine is ;-) Take your Iris cart collection, and multiply it by 3. That's all my new bricks. If I can get all the rest of the bricks into Iris carts, add at least what (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Need help to guesstimate the size of my collection!

(...) I'd second that guess. I have about 193K _that is identifiable_ as being in my collection, and it probably takes 2x your volume at least for storage. I'd guess I have more like 250K pieces, but that is a guess, whereas the 193K is a minimum (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
