  Re: lego.com catalogue updates

(...) At least it has a few nice parts, I guess. (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Help me with name of a piece

(...) Well, that's the thing. I don't have time to deal with auction back and forth stuff now, so until Lugnet brings its auction engine online I think I'll be doing straight sales. I was thinking of selling them for $5 each but decided not to. I (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BTII Jetpacks are back

(...) Furbies? (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Don't send them in envelopes (Re: Bring Your Minifig To Work Day)

(...) I've sent elements - but not minifigs - in a normal envelope with no crushing blows. Under what circumstances is this an issue with which to be concerned? (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Self as Minifig?

Jeff, If you wanted to take the trouble to learn to use POV-Ray ray-tracing program, you could scan an actual picture of yourself, turn it into a POV-Ray surface, and wrap it around a minifig head. Maybe I'll try this for my son. He'd get a real (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BTII Jetpacks are back

(...) line up with an actual brick, you know, with a spacing which every other Lego brick uses? Jeez, what a waste of ABS... Sorry I'm so bitter, but I was *really* looking forward to getting one of these, I bumped so many people in an auction to (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Page update

(...) minifig. (BTW, for my Power Suit, I got the hands from Karim Nassar.) "Anathema". A brilliant name for a walking tank. I'm going to borrow your Explorien Transport Shuttle cockpit idea. You have been warned. :-, Spiked Fist Pirate Ship - very (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: If you sort by color. . .when did you start?

(...) I came out of my dark ages about 3 years ago with about 150 pieces. Until about a week ago, I sorted by color -- with about 20,000 pieces. Now I sort roughly by LDraw category, which works out better than I imagined it would. Cheers, - Sproat (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Paint...

A different method a friend and I always used: Pine point Sharpie Markers. Last a long time as long as you let them dry and are *gentle* with your minifigs. Plus, a little rubbing alcohol takes it all off! (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: lego.com catalogue updates

Has anyone been wondering how TLG will supply the demand for catapults, now the Euro-Castle is inactive? Looks like they've sneaked them into Space Port. (URL) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: More colored Gems and Wands!!

(...) Interesting. Castle for Belville. Or "Princess" is probably more accurate. They've got wider variation in the different faces--a fair-haired boy, an older man, witch (at least she's better looking than the minifig witch) etc. Why didn't they (...)   Re: Help me with name of a piece

(...) Set the initial price high enough that you won't kick yourself for selling them. Steve (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Self as Minifig?

(...) Now this I've GOT to see. :) I had a friend who made all the characters and many monsters from FFIV. He used a lot of model paint! He painted a pig-tail hairpiece green for Rydia. :( Jeff P.S. Although I can't make myself as a minifig, I do (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Theory on Holey Bags

(...) Yes, unfortunately. I'm guessing the holey bags are being phased out because they cost more to produce. Steve (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Paint...

(...) Have you tried acrylic paints from Games Workshop ((R), (tm), whatever)? These paints are specially designed to be put on plastic figures. Please thin the paint down with water, before use. Btw: Why would you wanna paint minifigs? Mark (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Theory on Holey Bags

Imho: the holes are put in the bags by TLG for us maniacs to get confused about why they are there...It's really a conspiracy. B-) Mark "WinErr:00A Promotional literature overflow - Mailbox full" (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New Technic accessories

(...) That's the one with the pulleys and belts, right? (Sorry, I'm reading in VT100 in Copenhagen Librabry.) Well, the old pack with belts had one per colour, while the new one has two per colour. Otherwise they seem to be very similar. I didn't (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Page update

Also sprach Felix Greco: : (URL) Great Mech. Great name, too. Be sure to let us know when you get more pictures. If you could swing it, building instructions would be great, too. This is why I rant about the abortion that was RoboForce. It could (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BTII Jetpacks are back

(...) And so are metal detectors! I like their helmets for the new Spaceport guys. Too bad they did a bad job depicting the space program :(. I like the space simulator concept. But there's another appearance of the pointless 2x6x2 with a 2x8 base (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: New Theory on Holey Bags

(...) Definitely noticed this, just the other day, with the little Space port rover. I was very annoyed, as I am somewhat picky about saving packaging and of course now the baggie (with the pic of the Rover on it) is ripped.... Going forward I'll (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)
