One thing I'd really suggest is that if you are new to BrikWars, avoid the
temptation to use the SP rules in their current form to create a wizard.  Stick
to the simple troops.

   Hello Eric,

Thanks for your comments and link to the squad/individual discussion.
Concerning wizards and arcane/magic stuff, I think we'll shy away from that
for the initial confrontation.  We'll probably stick with plain-Jane ground
troops and cavalry.  Magic would just confuse the issue.  We _do_ want to
migrate towards that, however.  The LEGO universe has provided us with a few
fantastic creatues (dragons, rock monsters, and skeletons come to mind) that
beg to be worked in, a la Warhammer Fantasy.  Wizards are just a natural
progression.  And if one can use wizzies, then necromancers aren't far
behind.  Can you see enemy soldiers rising from the dead and then fighting
for you?!?!  What a hoot!!!  But not quite yet :)

Our desire to emulate the storming of a fortified structure still stands,
however.  The ballistae models are, in a word, amazing, and I hope to mount
a few on the keep's turrets.  I guess my next question is, how should one
handle the "breaching" of the wall?  I envision it going something like this...

- Mount a few sorties against 3 of the walls, just to keep my opponent
honest and force him to spread out his forces (remember, I will have 3x the
amount of forces, so I should be able to do this).
- Direct most of my firepower towards the remaining wall.  I will be using a
few 4816's (Knight's Catapult), and alot of 2540's (SHELL Fright Knights'
Catapult).  I will direct all of my firepower towards a particular spot to
weaken, and eventually, crush the wall.  I think we'll sort of "play it by
ear" concerning the actual strength of the wall and when (or if) it will
fail.  Does anyone have any good rules for this type of "real estate
destruction" (i.e., the hit points of a wall, etc.)?
- I will then quickly deploy my reserve cavalry into the breach and form a
"beach-head" within the keep.
- After having (hopefully) established a beach-head, I will attempt to
rescue our fair princess from the evil clutches of the enemy.

   Your thoughts are kindly appreciated.
   Warm regards,
   T.J. Mitchell

(...) That sounds like a good start, definitely. (...) Shaun Sullivan and I attempted something similar (unbalanced forces), although we just had a surprise factor (ie, one side was campd for the night and had to scramble to weapons and vehicles). (...)
