RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Biggest help to me on that screen was to think big. Instead of clearing a path a brick or two at a time, grab a whole pile, let Junkbot walk "through" them and put them back basically right were they were. For example, you should be able to (...)   RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Ah, and that would be you that's now down to 356. :) Congratulations! I think I'll need more than one long afternoon to shave off my next 14. Doug (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) I was at about 420 when I wrote that but shaved that down to 384 which was good for 5th at the time but has now slipped to 6th. (...) I have no clue. My biggest gains naturally came on the two levels I hadn't earned the gold award on so (...) (23 years ago, 20-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

(...) DamnitLarry...you've knocked me down to #23...*grrrr* I just keep shaving points, and shaving points...1 here, 2 there...and I still keep loosing ground (it all started with John knocking me down a couple of places, and it's been all downhill (...)   Junkbot strategies (was Re: Junkbot not saving progress)

(...) I can come up with some, surely. Perhaps a "SPOILER WARNING (Junkbot game hints - STOP if you don't want them)" would be in order. Such as Running the Gauntlet in 2. Get him moving immediately, don't let him miss a step. Let him run for it a (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Well I shaved a FEW more off but clearly have a loooong way to go. This game is great because (except for a few rooms like Running the Gauntlet and Junkbot Is Brave which I have complained about before as being all coordination and no skill) (...)   Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) I was sure that 354 must be a hack (no disparagement or accusation intended - just astonishment =O ) but I have managed 363 myself. I can't imagine where to shave off nine more but neither could I imagine before it happened the 14 I shaved off (...) (23 years ago, 19-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) What is your score? I suspect there's been some improvement in scores since then... Nik and I together (on my ID larrypieniazek) are at 526 total score for a rank of 31 as of this writing. The big area I can see to get a few more points off is (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) I would be interested in coming, but DC is about as far as i could go(i live in erie PA). I can bring stuff(islands mostly, i dont have too many smaller ships)i would love to finally get to play a game with people that are not doing it just (...)   RE: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) First off, let me say this game is totally awesome! With the save working I finally had time to play through to the end. I haven't figured the trick of a couple levels but still claimed Master Rank #7. :-) Yow, have to shave almost 70 to reach (...) (23 years ago, 15-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.gaming)

Re: Junkbot not saving progress (was: New stuff on LEGO.com...)

(...) Thanks again, Tomas! (...) *grrrr*...re-playing "Run The Gauntlet" right now for the save...*grrrr* (...) Yep...that's how I've been doing it...down to 32 moves now... (...) Yes, yes, YES!   JUNKBOT SAVES THE DAY!

Well, at least it saves your progress! Tomas and his team were good to their word, and the automatic save progress feature is up and running smoothly. Now I just gotta' go play the whole game through again (Bld. 1 down, 3 more to go). Thank you for (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.gaming)

an idea for an epic (game) adventure!... [long]

This is an idea I've been toying with. If I ever go *completely* insane and decide to run my own convention, this is something I'd like to run at that con. This is a "work in progress". Nonetheless, I'd appreciate feedback. ;-) Thanks, Franklin (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) Probably about 12x14. Access on weekends should be no problem. It is a matter of I have to turn off, and then as we leave turn on the building alarm. Weekdays isn't really an option at work. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events)

  Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) How big is the smaller room? What is the access time frame (i.e. what time can we get in in the morning and how late can we stay at night)? DC probably works best all around as most of the East coast folks interested live within 5hrs drive. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Aug-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events)

  Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) As I said we have lots of carpet squars in the large room, and there is a smaller, precarpeted room. 24 hr access isn't available, but it is always locked. (that might be a possible problem-- I would have to be there to let folks in the whole (...) (23 years ago, 8-Aug-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events)

  Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) I could do DC, but not NC. My driving endurance about maxes out at 4 hours right about now--then the arthritis takes over and things get downright unpleasant.   Re: PirateFest 2001

(...) Carpetted floors are vastly preferred over other floor styles. It's much easier on the LEGO (remember, we're sliding ships around). 24 hour access or lockability is a must. (23 years ago, 8-Aug-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.events)
