  Re: Robot Brain

(...) Yes, I'm using the RV rules. Is there a newer version of those rules, or something I should be aware of? I was under the impression they were the rules to use when building a battlemech. I have noticed inconsistancies with the RV rulebook and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) Nah, I think Chris is using the old RV rules from 2000, where robot brains were still worth something (RV.4.1). I don't see any reason why you can't combine a robobrain and other pilots, as long as the robot still has to follow a program (and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Gaming creations found

Browsing around on BrickShelf, I found these creations: (URL) like a bunch of characters and NPCs for D&D gaming (Freeport is a series of D&D modules for example). Frank (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Robot Brain

(...) I'd say "sorta". A "robot brain" is really a detrimental aspect of a trooper rather than of an actual vehicle, hence your vehicle with the simple "robot brain" addition would still have no Skill, thus being still sorta inanimate. So I'd score (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Robot Brain

(In BrikWars) Is it okay to have a vehicle with both a robot brain and/or a regular driver or gunner? ~Clangador (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: 'Mech Damage Question

(...) Well, it makes sense. I didn't know if it was intentional or not. I've seen pictures of 'Mechs (in BrikWars) that have unarmored joints. ~Clangador (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: 'Mech Damage Question

(...) Well-built models will always have an advantage over poorly-built models. That's completely intentional. The question isn't about whether a properly-armored mech has an unfair advantage, but rather, why would anyone pay full CP and then not (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: 'Mech Damage Question

(...) Okay. I'm digging it. My friend, who I'll be playing against next Sunday asked me this question. If he builds covers over the joints of his mecha, will that prevent an attack against the joint until the cover is blasted away? It seems like it (...)   Re: 'Mech Damage Question

(...) It's more the difference between the attacker saying "I attack your mech" and "I attack the inner joint of your mech's left elbow." If he attacks a specific part, then he can use component damage. If he attacks the mech in general, then he (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: 'Mech Damage Question

(...) It looked like you'd answered your own question in the earlier post - any mixture of component, statistic, or platform damage will do. It all depends on which type of damage the attacker thinks is most effective or most appropriate to the type (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

Re: BrikWars + ESPG game Meld

Re: BrikWars + ESPG game Meld

(...) I'd agree, the pacing of the two games is way too different. We've had a BrikWars nautical system in the works for the last couple of years, but nothing's really clicked yet. You can see the rough vaguely-worded outlines in the "NanoFleet (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: BrikWars + ESPG game Meld

(...) I agree, but BrikWars doesn't have detailed rules for sailing ships. What I mean is, there are no rules I've seen for sailing. ~Clangador (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming)

  'Mech Damage Question

Hello, I have a question. I guess my other post on this didn't get thru. I played a game of BrikWars Sunday. We played 10 troopers and a singel 'Mech each. I'm using the Robitic Vehicles rules. The damage rules for 'Mechs seems kind of unclear. How (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)
