I'd agree, the pacing of the two games is way too different.
We've had a BrikWars nautical system in the works for the last couple of years,
but nothing's really clicked yet. You can see the rough vaguely-worded outlines
in the "NanoFleet Battles" preview textfile, check Chapter NF.3: Naval Kinetix:
