I'd say "sorta". A "robot brain" is really a detrimental aspect of a trooper
rather than of an actual vehicle, hence your vehicle with the simple "robot
brain" addition would still have no Skill, thus being still sorta inanimate. So
I'd score it as a Synthetik pilot, built into the vehicle (hence costing TL+4 CP
in addition to the vehicle cost).

However, since you don't need the extra movement or armor that come with the
Synthetik (since they'd be overruled by the vehicle stats), I'd say buy some
disimprovements for the Synthetik, so that it costs the minimum for a trooper (2
CP).

So, if you're at TL 7 (say) and your vehicle is 50 CP, you'd add a Synthetik (11
CP base), -2 Power (-5 CP), -2" Movement (-2 CP), -2 AV (-2 CP), and your total
vehicle cost is now 52 CP for a vehicle that can drive itself with a robot
brain.

Oh, and if you gave an additional +1 CP for piloting skill, you could have the
vehicle both fire and move in the same turn, all by itself, without the need for
gunners (other than to keep the vehicle from going into RoboPanik).

Of course I suppose really, there may be something to be said for scoring the
entire vehicle as a custom-creature... hmm...

(...) Nah, I think Chris is using the old RV rules from 2000, where robot brains were still worth something (RV.4.1). I don't see any reason why you can't combine a robobrain and other pilots, as long as the robot still has to follow a program (and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.gaming.brikwars)
