Hey, Ever hear of WorldCon. It's The premiere SciFi con, it moves every year and groups compete/bid for 2-3 years in advance to host it. So I see no reason why brickfest in all its glory could not become similar. I for one have never been to, and (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

That said, most hobbies also have one major event per year. In some (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

We've gotten to the point in the US where traffic just about anywhere is maddening. Houston, (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Actually, Chicago has had a brick event for the past two years. It's called "House of Bricks" and while it isn't as highly attended as Brickfest, those who have gone have had a good time by all reports. I was involved in HoB1, but not Hob2. HoB (...) (...) Clearly, it's not that easy. Or, this discussion would not be taking place. For John and his son, the best place for BrickFest is DC. For me, it would be Indy. My son(s) don't yet have an opinion, because they haven't yet made the ten hour (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) Snip I disagree. This has already happened. It's called NWBrickCon. You might of heard of it. We're into 5 years of fest activities now. About a year or so shy of BrickFest. Now there was a one time spin off of BF-PDX. Which, from my (...) (18 years ago, 14-Sep-06, to lugnet.events.brickfest)
