Re: 8421 Speed build new record

Hmm, it is time to respond to this message! At LEGO World in Zwolle, the Neherlands, five members of De Bouwsteen set the record at 1 hour, 19 minutes and 2 seconds, timed by Jan Beier. This was on monday october 24th. I was one of the five (...) (19 years ago, 27-Nov-05, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: 3 Events worth of Photos...

(...) Janey, thanks for posting these pics. This project is really sofa-king coool. Like I said in a previous post, I didn't really understand how big it was until I flew over it a few months back on a trip to Winnipeg.   3 Events worth of Photos...

Yesterday I managed to sort thru a few hundred photos.... and put some of the recent (or not so recent) Lego Events I have attended up on Brickshelf.   8421 Speed build new record

During the Bricking Bavaria 2005 weekend, oct 22-23, an attempt was made to trash the 8421 speed build record set at BrickFest 2005, at 1 hour 48 minutes something. I'm happy to report the record is back in Europe again, thanks to a Dutch/German (...) (19 years ago, 24-Oct-05, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.nl, lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: 2 months ago

(...) Didier, Thanks for your note. I had a great time at BrickFest and I'm still all aglow about it. It has inspired me to work on new pneumatic designs, and reinspired me to innovate. I have finished off my fourth idea logbook and am a quarter way (...) (19 years ago, 18-Oct-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Hi, Tonight I found myself with nothing to do. Chatting with friends I suddenly remembered my vacations this summer in Arlington. It was just two months ago but it seems to me that's an eternity.   Brickfest vignette winners

Hi all, Could someone give me a listing of the winners in the Vig THIS! contest held in the vignette room at BrickFest '05? I know that almost all of the MOCs in the room are featured (URL) in this gallery>, but never saw a wrap-up of the award (...)   Re: What is this?

(...) It's an in-progress assembly of a giant statue of someone who has been crucified. I assumed that it was Jesus when I saw it, but the builder, Steve DeCraemer (SP?) told me that it was open to interpretation, and could be anyone who had been (...)   What is this?

Hi all, Can anyone tell me what this is: (URL) is on the back of that great castle. I can see a face and some limbs (?) with blood here: (URL) am curious. Jaco (19 years ago, 23-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

A few pictures, 2 short video clips : Brickfest 2005

Hi, everybody! I finally got around to publishing a few of the photos I took at Brickfest this year... everything was so amazing but I spent so much time talking with people that I hardly got to take any pictures! I thought folks might want to see (...) (19 years ago, 13-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) This is an interesting idea, though I think it's too big a job for a single person. Perhaps one person per room? I could almost see doing this in future years. I really got a lot out of being a judge for town/train which forced me to look at (...) (19 years ago, 13-Sep-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Who built Solomon's Temple at Brickfest 2005?

(...) One other thing would be to have BrickFest have a browser of all the MOC cards submitted. Won't necessarily show you which MOC is which (with no pictures), but for some you could probably guess. The bigger step would probably be allowing an (...) (...) Yes! Now I see. (...) Ah, thanks for the link to that photo. (...) Orion was able to supply me with a hi-res photo of it, and from that it was clear that the builder is Mike Gibney, who I looked up on LUGNET and got in touch with over e-mail. (...)
