The anniversary bricks are actually not that shiny. They have more of a duly gold color with little sparkly bits. Mike Crowley took a photo of them.

Oddly enough, the MOC card in front of it has the name of builer on it. Unforunately, the name is too blurry to read properly. Let me check if I can find another shot of the Solomon Temple with MOCCard that is more read-able.

Orion was able to supply me with a hi-res photo of it, and from that it was clear that the builder is Mike Gibney, who I looked up on LUGNET and got in touch with over e-mail. He hasn’t made an official announcement of the MOC yet here on LUGNET, as he’s still adding finishing touches to it.

The weirdest part of BrickFest each year is the amount of MOCs that are never photographed and posted online. Weird, weird, weird. One guy never heard of Lugnet until I told him about it. Weird.

That is weird, wild stuff. Brickfest seems to need an offical photographer who photographs every MOC and takes down the name of each builder. Oh, or maybe we could just increase the font size on the MOC cards tenfold. :) Nah, I’m just glad I got to see so many cool MOCs even though I couldn’t make it in person!
