LEGO Quality Control
We are pleased to announce Bjarke Schønwandt will be among the LEGO Group guests attending BrickFair in two weeks. Bjarke is a Quality Engineer at TLG and will give a presentation on LEGO’s quality control.

See you at BrickFair this Labor Day weekend.

interesting, ask him if the quality is going to be better now they are dumping Flextronics. I buy a great number of sets and one out of five have either defromed elements or missing elements. Also, is the color going to be more consistant? And then their is shipping! If that comes under quality control are they going to do something about their crushed box problems, which is not due to DHL, but their own shipping department. I was starting to wonder if there was a quality control at Lego anymore or if that went away during their reconstruction and cost saving moves. John P

John, Well, I think that one of the following things should happen:

1) You and/or David come to BrickFair and ask for yourselves... it is always best to ask directly from the party you wish to get information from. It all could get lost in the translation.

2) Get someone you specifically trust to ask your questions about quality (molds, flextronics, shipping, etc.) and have them relay the answer to you.

3) Ask Steve Witt as the head Ambassidor to enquire for you, or to give you an answer.

4) Post the same questions on lugnet.dear lego.

Hope to see you at BrickFair!

Have Fun! C-Ya!

Rich

(...) Well, I wish I could come. I thought that the Lego Ambassidors were there to bring concerns to Lego. Perhaps I am wrong on this. These problems have been brought up many times in the past. John P (16 years ago, 14-Aug-08, to lugnet.events, FTX)
