Because of the people. That's first and foremost. The amount of information,
help, etc. available.
> * Why do more people stay than leave?
Once again, because this is a place where "Everybody knows your name." It's a
great environment, with lots of informative, helpful, and humorous individuals.
> * What do people get out of LUGNET and their online experiences?
Plenty of information, help, inspiration, and it's a place to conduct
business, too.
> * What are the best 3 things about LUGNET?
1. The people
2. The many different things to do and groups to participate in
3. The people's creations.
> * What are the best 10 things about LUGNET?
4. The ideas shared, brainstorm sessions.
5. The work put forth by everyone to keep Lugnet going and growing.
Especially Todd and Susan.
6. The marketplace; buying, selling, trading, auctions.
7. Castle World, now that it's up and running again.
8. Every bit of info on 99% of the sets made.
9. Cool Lego Site of the Week.
10. The off-topic groups.
> * Why should anyone who's never heard of LUGNET check it out?
They'll come away from it wanting to go back. Every day.
> * Why was LUGNET created?
The way I understand it, for Lego fans young and old to come together and
share ideas, creations, organize things, etc.
> * Why do people organize unofficial LEGO events?
If TLG held more, maybe we wouldn't have to. I imagine that the "unofficial"
ones are more fun, anyways.
> * Why do people form and join LEGO user groups and clubs?
It's just like any other hobby, or in some cases, obsessions. People enjoy
doing it, talking about it, etc.
> * Why do people want to talk to other people about LEGO?
Once again, it's just like any other hobby. They share ideas, inspire one
another, conduct business, etc.
> * What are people missing if they never go online?
Everything. I recommend anyone who loves Lego and has access to a computer to
be a part of Lugnet, and rtl.lego.
