(...) Phew! Glad to hear your beautiful and charming bride is at least 15 years old! I second the notion for a Brickfest schedule to be posted. Not sure I can make it, but even if not, I'd love to know what I'm missing. -Brendan (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

| | Schedule for BrickFest PDX 2007

Hey everyone! I'm looking for the schedule of events for Brickfest. I can't seem to pull it up anywhere--so if some nice person would please point me in the right direction, I'd much much obliged. Especially since my beautiful and charming bride of (...) (18 years ago, 16-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX) !

(...) Thanks for that, Junior. I haven't heard from Bryan and Adam for ages - probably since the summer of '69. (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

(...) That is why I said 'of sufficient involvement' and the no hard and fast rules bit you snipped. In the case of a small convention like BV then there simply aren't the funds to let all the volunteers in for free. In that case you have to set the (...) (...) Not sure I agree there either - speaking as an organiser of Brickvention, all the organisers, helpers, presenters, etc paid registration, it meant the difference between a small loss and a large loss. Even our Australian LEGO Ambassador paid (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

(...) Although a robot pitcher and robot hitter would be very very kewl, just a robot pitcher and wireless remote control hitter would be very kewl. Like those old baseball machines at the beach. One would have to anticipate the lag and the speed of (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) You missunderstand me, I think. I wouldn't be skipping out because I'm not making a buck. I'm not interested in going to an event to make money, I do it because I love building with LEGO. I would skip out on an event if others were making a (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld)

(...) While I agree in a capitalist sense, I don't agree in a realistic sense. Perhaps it might help if we weren't talking about BrickFest/BrickWorld per se. Or, perhaps if we were talking about them 10 years in the future. I dunno. Anyway, here's (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld, FTX)

(...) I don't think "bringing a MOC" is a valid argument for being a volunteer unless you have a following of people who and pay to get into events purely to see YOUR art. Which YOU probably do since you're famous. ;) I bring a MOC for display and (...) (18 years ago, 15-Mar-07, to lugnet.events.brickworld)
