  ldraw.org Logo Change

Well... In an interesting question and answer session I had originally with Brad Justus, it came to my attention that TLC did not approve of the 3D red brick ldraw.org logo. Brad checked with the corporate counsel about the logo, and relayed the (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.events, lugnet.cad) !

PNLTC invites participation in world record attempt

PNLTC officially invites clubs, and anyone else interested, to join our world record breaking attempt. Send us an "ambassador" box car, we will document it as a part of this historic event. In order to make this undertaking manageable we will use (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.trains, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.events, lugnet.org)

Re: Kidvention in Summer 2000 Passholder's Newsletter

(...) It's passholder as in having an annual pass for admission into Legoland - either Block Party Pass, Primo Year Pass, or Ambassador Lifetime Pass. It is not a Kidvention pass, either for exhibitors or attendees. Passholders, from what I have (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Kidvention in Summer 2000 Passholder's Newsletter

(...) Wait, is that passholder as in purchased pass? Or is it exhibitor pass, which is what I'll be getting/needing? I may be mistaken in my other post that I'm actualy going to get what you have. -Tim (URL) timcourtne ICQ: 23951114 (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Kidvention in Summer 2000 Passholder's Newsletter

(...) Yes. They were officially signed up (weeks before it was announced) I believe before we were. Also, LDraw got added late to the itinerary online (at my request to a Legoland CA employee). I have not received my newsletter yet, but I have (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.legoland.california)

Re: Kidvention in Summer 2000 Passholder's Newsletter

(...) Very strange. Wow. I wonder if the printed newsletter text was made first and then LDraw was added later and the website got updated but it was too late at that time to add to the printed newsletter? Did GMLTC get signed up with Kidvention (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.events, lugnet.legoland.california)

Kidvention in Summer 2000 Passholder's Newsletter

Hey all! I just got the new passholder's newsletter and it's mostly about the Kidvention and ColorJam. Most of the information is just repeated from the website, but there is something interesting to note. It includes the itinerary from the website (...)   Re: GMLTC at the Kidvention Update

A very brief update: The GMLTC is working on a schedule for our time at LEGOLAND. With the number of people we're bringing out there, we should be able to staff the layout from 9:00am to at least 6:00pm each day, and maybe all day (9 to 9) on (...)   LDraw at the Kidvention Update

Hey everybody... Here's an update on the status for LDraw at the Kidvention so far: I sent off the artwork for the banner to the company (FastSigns) today, and they will get back to me soon on approval.   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) Haven't checked it, but I'm going on the principle that clone brands have printed items on their studs, and that we aren't saying 'LEGO' anywhere. I honestly do not believe this will be a problem. Just to be sure, I left Brad Justus a voice (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

We already have GMLTC shirts, through the work of John Neal. He is also working on ID cards for us all to wear, and banners with our logo and url to hang on or above the layout.   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) The ldraw.org site header logo *is* the text of the sign. It will be a HUGE rendering of the 2x3 brick on the site, with LDRAW detailed on the studs, and the words 'ldraw.org, Centralized LDraw Resources' in the same visual arrangement as the (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) We at the GMLTC will be very sensitive about that issue. When we display the layout at train shows, we are very emphatic when asked (one of the most asked questions, BTW, right behind "how many bricks are there in the layout" and "how long (...)   Re: We're on the itinerary!

(...) Hey, that's kind of interesting from a community-strategic point of view... What you've got there with the signage is an opportunity to let people know -- or at least hint at -- the fact that LDraw is a fan-created and fan-run project/system (...)
