  Re: NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

(...) This was my first time attending NWBC. I've attended BrickWest once also. As an attendee, the one major feedback item I have is "why did I pay the extra $20?" I feel like I should have just brought my MOCs for display and stand around for free (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

Services in Zwolle (was Re: Help with registering and accommodation

(...) How big is Zwolle, and what kind of general stores and suchlike stuff does it have? Will it have a photocopy shop? An electronics shop where phone adapters can be purchased for other countries (such as DK)? An internet cafe if I can't get my (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.legoworld)

Re: Help with registering and accommodation

(...) We stayed here in 2001. Cheapest hotel, but the room is not much.... Like, we wished we had payed more for a room :-) We had to take 6 stairs to get to our room, packed with loads of Lego. We won't go back over there. Oh, and we had to pay in (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.legoworld)

  Re: NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

(...) Free shouldn't be underestimated- and the location this year provided a nice surrounding but very little foot traffic. I think we'd be likely to actually get more traffic inside any mall than what we got this year. If we simply can't (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, FTX)

Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

(...) 'Tis true, in fact, it's one of the first things Ashley said to me while he was unpacking his stuff...the quote was something like "Keith's outstanding big wall creation was so awesome, I had to build one myself." My response was along the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  Re: NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

(...) I consider these to be two really large cons against having it in the SeaTac Mall. Seattle Center, while expensive, is centrally located and out of towners will enjoy seeing the Space Needle and some of the local attractions. While the (...)   Re: Our Heroes, Keith Goldman and Chris Maddison

Mark, no apology necessary, the whole problem was that I accused when I should have questioned. Hopfully by now many people know I'm a sarcastic reactionary and not to take me too seriously. Everybody I've met in the hobby (with one exception) is (...) (23 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon)

  NWBC 2003 Post Mortem

This year we had an outstanding event. I'm happy to report this post mortem message should be substantially shorter than last years due to fewer issues. The space was awesome. One large room that perfectly accomidated what we aimed to accomplish. I (...) (23 years ago, 8-Oct-03, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, lugnet.general)
