Hi Tim,
I teach robotics in the classroom in the college of education at Wichita
State University. I think LDraw tools are very good for kids to use and
also a great tool for teachers to create instructions for their students.
My 12 year old son, Alex, and I wrote a few chapters in two of Syngress' 10
Cool Lego Mindstorms Books. Alex designed and drew all of the robots we
submitted.
WSU has just launched their annual robotics competition for 4th - 8th grade
students and many of the teams are working on documenting their robotic
inventions using MLCAD. I plan to include Lego CAD in a summer workshop for
teachers and summer camp for kids that WSU sponsors this summer. I will
also teach a workshop on Lego Cad in the fall.

| Hi Tonya - Thanks for the reply! I'm interested in learning more about your programs. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to pay much attention right now. Later this year I will be exploring LDraw in the classroom in greater depth. I've gotten some (...) (22 years ago, 21-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.edu)
