I really don't know what's news here anymore, but after doing some LUGNET searches, I didn't see any sign of some unusual words in this report I have. (...) This is odd... <set:2968>, according to the LUGNET guide, is the Safari Value Box, while the Rescue Base is <set:2914>. (...) 2988 does exist and it's not another version of 2989, both are available in Australia (well were, most places were clearing Pooh before Christmas). I don't know if it was/is available in the US. 2988 is listed in the 2000 (2) Australian (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.duplo)

The new Duplo is now in-store near me. The sets look good, and there are tonnes of new parts. The main points of note: 1. Pink Duplo Girl type sets are back. The 48x48 gray baseplate got a new number once. I was able to buy several hundred at clearance prices because they had the old discontinued number on them.
