2988 does exist and it's not another version of 2989, both are available in
Australia (well were, most places were clearing Pooh before Christmas). I
don't know if it was/is available in the US.
2988 is listed in the 2000 (2) Australian Catalogue as "A surprise for
Eeyore" and is a yellow bucket with yellow lid and purple handle. It has
Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore, a honeypot, red gift, bee pattern cloth mat, brown
barrel, brown tree trunk, bee sign, bee pic brick, cloud pic brick, purple
flower, a couple of tree trunk segments, purple "Winnie the Pooh" logo
semi-circle brick and a few basic bricks.
