  Re: Tan Axle Pins

(...) My backhoe has yet to have its wheels fall off. Nor had the wheels on "da Buster" when it was still built. However, when its chassis was being rebuilt, I used 3L axle with stud to hold the wheels on my 4404, in anticipation of a (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic)

  Tan Axle Pins

Hello, Why is it that tan axle pins (found in 2003 and later Technic sets) seem much weaker than 2002-and-before gray axle pins? For instance, look at the 8455 Backhoe Loader and 4404 Land Busters - the wheels are VERY easy to come off due to them (...) (20 years ago, 29-Jun-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.technic)

Well, TLC isn't making them, but several custom kit makers are - Larry P (Milton Trainworks) , Mike Walsh (Carolina Trainbulders) and myself (Lions Gate Models) for three!   LEGO rated UK adult's favorite toy

Found this on Yahoo!: (URL) rated adult's favorite toy> Of course LUGNET readers already knew that, right? JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 2-Jun-04, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Castle, Harry Potter, and Town Ultimate Collector's Series

I just recently saw a commercial for the new Harry Potter line, where three children are playing with the new sets. The camera follows the Knight bus down a street, decorated with various houses. This got me thinking: Where are the UCS (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

I have also purchased from Precious Princess Palace on Bricklink and have had exemplary service, but I agree that this auction business certainly appears fishy. However, I will reserve judgement. Matt 576 p.s. Thanks to all of you other Lugnet folks (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) *snip* (...) Good point, Mark. Recently, I've found myself limiting my .shopping-related finds to member-only forums like Yahoo groups and private eMail lists. At first, I reciprocated good finds that I learned of on .shopping with similar (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Lighten up, everybody!

It's irritating. It's silly. It's greedy. It's...the system we have. When the limited edition Super Chiefs came out, they were listed on eBay almost before most LUGNET readers knew they existed. For prices over list. I've been to company liquidation (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) It makes me debate the wisdom of posting great finds to the .shopping group. In this case: (URL) item was gone in about an hour and a half. I had tried probing the inventory by trying to add a large amount to the shopping cart and was limited (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) Well, some special items in very limited supply has from time to time suddenly been available at PAB in Legoland Billund. And if you come there often enough, not many other AFOL's might get to know about it, before it is too late. Martin (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

The last time I check this set (10152) is bid to $510 on Sunday, May 23rd. And guess what the seller is the ninjaprincess. I think she is going to make a killing on these 200 sets. See for yourself. You may need to copy the whole thing in your web (...) (20 years ago, 24-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) I can't speak for the individual case cos I don't know, but I do know certain things like shileds have turned up at PaB. I do know someone who found stormtroopers in the PaB and brought them all. Could be an answer. (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) I have bought from her a couple of times and have been very happy. I see nothing wrong with what she is doing: 1. Nobody is being forced to buy her stock. 2. She has not bought up the whole stock (as others have with other sets). Scott A (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: The Bar Does Not Go Down

So far the only uses for this helmet (in either size) I've been able to come up with that aren't directly related to Darth, or some closely related thing like SpaceBalls, aren't really suitable for a family forum, or (...)   Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) How about the value of making the market more efficient? Suppose that person A is willing to pay $20 for a set and person B is willing to pay $40 for a set[1]. Perhaps A is lucky[2] and finds the set for $20, but that outcome does not maximize (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items

(...) 1. I thought about the PAB. If it were PAB, then we would all know about it and a whole lot of other AFOLs would be doing the same thing. 2. Tent sales would probably mean that they would have to buy whole sets and there's no evidence of them (...) (20 years ago, 23-May-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Weekly Update of New AuctionBrick Items
