 Dear LEGO / 2425
    Juniorization —Kevin Loch
(...) They are seriously misinformed if they believe that. Everything I've heard, from parents, kids, numerous toy store employees at various stores have said that parents and kids unanimously *hate* juniorized sets. Sure they buy them anyway (...)         Re: Juniorization —Tim Courtney
(...) Yep, that's what I've heard too. The only way to really make much of a difference would be to get contact information for designers in Denmark and talk to them. I can try to do that, but no guarantees. It seems that when dealing with TLC, (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

(...) as (...) The juniorization is a horrible thing. It takes away building experience from kids. Although these sets may be easier to build and may take away frustration, this gets rid of building experience that makes kids (and adults) good (...) (24 years ago, 25-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Juniorization —James Simpson
(...) I couldn't resist a "me-too" here. If I had a single brick for every Insectisoid & UFO set, as well as every sorry town-junior fire station that I've seen on clearance...I would...er...have a lot more Lego than I do now! p.s., A month or so (...)         Re: Juniorization —Steve Bliss
(...) Sooner or later, most sets go on clearance. Why is no one complaining about Adventurers, which are just as Juniorized as Insectoids? The Egyptian sets had pretty cool designs, but the Amazon sets were fairly lame, and most of the Dinosaur sets (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

        Re: Juniorization —Frank Filz
(...) Well, I like several of the Amazon and Dino sets. 5976 is quite nice, I'll be using that temple in my Pirate Games, and of course the boat pieces are nice for making pirate ships (and that ship doesn't look that bad, though it could use a (...)         Re: Juniorization —Frank Filz
A couple more thoughts and points: - For those BURP haters, the Aventurers sets actually use very few BURPS (5988 has 4, 5987 has 1) - Ok, so you get a million of those car bodies. I think we would be more accepting of that part if we didn't get so (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)
