 Dear LEGO / 1867 (-20)
Re: Wish lego would make more different themes.

(...) I still think Lego should do a Wizard of Oz castle theme. Think of all the scenes they could reproduce, and all the characters are public domain according to the W of O fan club. Markus (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) and (...) a (...) And the crowd goes wild! They seem to be cheering... "THUNDERBOLT!" "THUNDERBOLT!" "THUNDERBOLT!" Seriously, this would make an awesome accessory. After making JarJar, I think that TLC might make a minotaur, which would be (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Future Themes for Castle

(x-posted to .dear-lego) (...) I agree. As Craig said, many people asked for this before. It'd be a HUGE hit IMO. There are endless possibilities: Colisseums, The oracle (Delphi), Chariot races, mythical stuff, a Julius Caeser fig (with wreath and (...) (...) (FUT .dear-lego, where TLC can read it, supposedly) Hehe... tell me about it... We're all pretty much wondering the same thing - perhaps every AFOL is musing about a different theme, but I think each and every one of us wants SOMETHING (...)   Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Hmm. From my experience, they don't HAVE to adapt the kids to lego. I baby-sit two 5 y/o twins every Friday afternoon, so I get to see what other kids think about lego. These kids have both "dad's old lego" (1) and new sets (among others: Sith (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Yes, *some* kids are that way. When writing the post, I was thinking of my friends, but perhaps they aren't so good to compare with, they are all over 14, and that's not really a "lego" age. I agree that lego is not giving them the tools they (...) (25 years ago, 19-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) I keep seeing people say this, and you know, I don't agree. I am quite sure *some* kids are this way but the ones who come to my Technic class (about 30 or so kids, on and off, age range 6-12, out of a school of 120 or so kids) are definitely (...)   Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) You're right! I think that the reason that all the sets are so juniorized, is because kids don't have the patience to sit down and build something. Or, they are not creative enough to fit 5 bricks together into one larger. TLC says that lego (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

LEGO name branding (was: Re: Stuff I'd like to see...)

Maybe the LEGO Watches line never was intended to compete with Swatch or Times. etc., etc. (...) If you think of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) I can't agree more. TLC's apparant ambitions are, to put it mildly, ludicrous. According to their press release: "...our goal is for the LEGO brand to be known as the strongest brand in the world among families with children by 2005." From (...) (...) I agree fully. Last night my wife and I dropped a few hundred at S@H. It took me 4 minutes to give all the info. I was asked for the Blue box, the yellow box & all that too. But it took ages...   Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Dont apologise. You, and the rest of the AFOL community needs to be harsh. TLC, WAKE UP, and smell the coffee! Forget the other junk you are trying to make that kids are not interested in.   Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) Exactly!!! Lego, the percent of your customer base that buy your watches/video/ games/play sets because they find them superior to Swatch (do kids still wear those???), Sega, Barbie, even Tonka, etc. is negligible at best.
