 Dear LEGO / 1822 (-20)
  Re: Old sets

(...) They probably keep about ten copies of each (maybe more, maybe less) but if they do, they surely won't have them for sale... The issue of rereleasing sets has come up numerous times, too bad TLC (1) refuses to listen. They would make great (...) (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

I couldn't agree more - good point! EC (25 years ago, 14-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

(...) One of the best pieces Lego should revive for future sets are the tracks from the technic bulldozer set #856 . They were the most realistic tracks ever put on any set. The new rubber tracks are not that good for the technic line they simply (...) (25 years ago, 13-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: No LEGOFest...

(...) Ha! Damn. The fact that I get this joke means that I have been spending WAY too much time on Lugnet lately. Will (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

  Re: Log Walls needed

(...) I've ranted about wanting a foreign legion theme before. Return of the Soldiers! And tan colored castles would mark the return of the Crusader Knights! A can't miss scheme if I ever heard one! Kevin (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) <snipped often> (...) Agreed. I'd like more animals - Duplo has the most now - and make them articulated (at least head movement like the horse and polar bear). (They've "juniorized" the Duplo elephant! Couldn't guess why). (...) This actually (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Stuff I'd like to see...

(...) <snip> (...) A lot of good ideas here... I think TLC doesn't make some of the things you suggest at minifig scale because they would be too small. As a company, LEGO always has to be aware of choking hazards. And parents probably don't like (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Stuff I'd like to see...

To Whom It May Concern (and therefore the least likely to actually read it): TLC's ambitions are probably an exercise in overreaching. Belville will never be Barbie. These terrible video games will never compete with Doom or Myst. These timepieces (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  More idea books, please

I've always enjoyed the Lego Idea Books. It's been a couple of years since they made one, even longer since they made a Technic-oriented one. How about more of them? Maybe even one per year? (Sounds good to me, anyway ;-) - Greg (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

How about some vintage pieces brought back to life: - Large clear plates - only in all of the new colors... - make the LEGO word 'classic' mean just that - classic is usually used to describe things over 20 years old, right? Bring back some of the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Mania Magazine

I am looking for back issue of Mania Magazine. I need issues from 92 to 95 as well as some from 98/99. Does anyone have these or know where I can get them? E-mail me with any info. Thanks. jen (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

<description of system of low slopes> How about stud-less slopes while we're at it, just the sloping part, no brick on the edge? I think that after Lego makes all of these different types of slope bricks for all situations, then, they should take a (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Palm Tree Junior

That's a 1x2 plate with HANDLE, not side-clip ;-) Everyone else was talking about the new 1x2 brick with side clip (horizontal clip, holds things vertically). (...) -- | Tom Stangl, Technical Support Netscape Communications Corp | Please do not (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Elements I'd like to see...

(...) James, we must be reading from the same wish list. I like your answers! I would add to the sloped bricks, inside (concave) corner bricks in extreme and low slope sizes (along with the needed peaks and peak connectors). I would also like to (...)   Re: Elements I'd like to see...

(...) Since the topic has come up again...I'd like to see: Inverse corners, roof peak ends, roof peak joiners, and roof peak corners for the low-sloped bricks. Ditto for the steep sloped corners. Pieces for changing roof pitch - mostly corners and (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Palm Tree Junior

(...) I find this piece good, actually. It allows me to center things in walls that are even in length (2 studs, 4 studs, etc), which can't be done with a 1x1 plate w/clip. Having the various clips on bricks also means that the back side of the wall (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)
