 Dear LEGO / 1732 (-10)
Re: an update -- and an apology

I agree with Todd on this also. The representative I spoke with gave me the information that LD IS_PLANNING_TO READY BY HOLLIDAY SEASON (CHRISTMAS ANYONE?) So already I have my doubts about this summer planning, and especially on all items being (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: an update -- and an apology

(...) Oh no, that's not what I meant. I meant _What_ exactly is "definitely happening"? not What exactly is _"definitely happening"_? The answer is: We have no _clear_ idea _what_ will be happening. We have only a _vague_ promise. (Not that there's (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: an update -- and an apology

(...) An event which *will* occur. (...) My point is that, whatever they will be offering, they *will* be offering it. I don't think that they would go to the trouble of saying something will happen only to disappoint later on. They could have just (...) (25 years ago, 5-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: an update -- and an apology

(...) Although I generally agree with the optimism expressed here regarding LEGO Direct and what it could eventually become, I have to say that I disagree with the assertion that "definitely happening" couldn't be less vague. To the contrary, I (...) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: an update -- and an apology

(...) Please state specific examples. (...) Is it irrational to believe Brad is being truthful? "We are very aware of the excitement, interest, and even skepticism which the messages announcing LEGO Direct have created." "We've spent most of the (...)   Re: The Cluetrain Manifesto (was: Re: fan support)

(...) <snipped> Hehe yes, great stuff! Does any of it sound like TLC? Yes? Read, mark, learn and inwardly digest, TLC... please. We want you still around in 10 years! Kevin (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

The Cluetrain Manifesto (was: Re: fan support)

(...) You go, Stephen!!! Excellent report! The things the fan community does for TLC are priceless! On that note, while skimming Slashdot tonight, the following document came up in one of the conversations there earlier today. I've attached a copy (...)   Re: Silicon Valley techies taken with kids' toy

(...) Or maybe what LEGO doesn't realize is that whatever normal theme sales are, AFOL's are a more significant percentage of it than they assume... (25 years ago, 4-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Silicon Valley techies taken with kids' toy

Hey Richard, I think Todd only tried to point out that the 300 percent increase was not affecting the whole company, only the Mindstorms-sub-market. This simply means that adults had a large influence on these products, not on all sets. But as a (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego)
