 Dear LEGO / 1616
Re: an update -- and an apology —Gary R. Istok
(...) Thanks Brad, We know you've been busy. Glad things are looking bright for the future of LEGO Direct. Now for some further digesting of what you have just said about Bulk Sales. No availability of pieces that have been out of production for a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: an update -- and an apology —Selçuk Göre
Hi Brad, and thanks for clarifying all the opinions with some facts..:-) I'm dreaming right now for the availability of the service for Turkey as well, but can already guess that (unfortunately) Turkey is not an appealing market for this staff. I (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Re: an update -- and an apology —Kevin Loch
Here's my list (in order): ***1. 1x4x6 windows in black with trans-lt-blue (also trans-yellow and trans-green) 2. Any other kind of town windows (It's very frusturating to have more than enough bricks to make a big building but no windows) 3. #12 (...)         bulk element votes (was: Re: an update -- and an apology) —Charles Eric McCarthy
Why restrict the availability to white and gray? I doubt it would be much harder to make 2x2 tiles available in yellow and red than in white and gray. (...) All sizes in all available colors.      (...) Gary is voting for the parts *he* wants. :) When Brad asks for votes (I think it should be done using a script or something, and not a "reply-to-this-message" type vote), everyone will be voting for the parts *they* want. I know I will! Jeff (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: bulk element votes (was: Re: an update -- and an apology) —Charles Eric McCarthy
(...) OK, Gary is voting for the parts *he* wants, and I am pointing out that it is probably not much more trouble to have more colors than white and gray, and I'm also adding some pieces that *I* want. What is your point? As for voting here - no, (...) (25 years ago, 28-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: bulk element votes (was: Re: an update -- and an apology) —Gary R. Istok
(...) Well yes, I am pointing to the parts I want, but I didn't list all colors because we don't really know if, when we pick a piece, are we restricted to a single color? Or will they say "OK 2x2 tiles it is, in what colors do you want?" Too early (...) (25 years ago, 29-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: an update -- and an apology —Erik Olson
(...) Gary, I think this list should be titled "Parts that town builders use a lot of on just one building." I'd vote for this list. Now I'll quibble with it: 1x4x3 window frames shouldn't be overlooked. The rest of us have been using them. (: White (...) (25 years ago, 29-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)

Common bricks in rare colors... —Mark Tarrabain
(...) Although what I'm about to mention here is almost certainly not be a "purist" solution, one that I've found that works reasonably well is using ordinary oil-based hobby paints like you'd use on plastic models. Most of the ones I've found are (...) (25 years ago, 29-Feb-00, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general)
