Re: Why is it pushed back? Was:Burlington is being shipped (in Europe, that is)

(...) Simple: This isn't an exact science. We estimate our best guess and work hard to get things in place by those dates in order to get you goods as quickly as possible. Overall, our track record is that we typically ship on or often before the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: Why is it pushed back? Was:Burlington is being shipped (in Europe, that is)

Why does the release date keep getting pushed back in the US? When I pre-ordered mine, the shipping date was November 11, 2004. Then it got pushed back to November 24th. Now it says it will ship by december 8th! What going on? -Juan (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Can we help?

(...) Now this may sound naive, but: WHY do you (and so many with you) object to production in China? I have seen some very good quality coming from over there (Atlas model trains comes to mind). I realy don't know why China would be a worse place (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Can we help?

Hello! (...) I wouldn't think less, either, because it's almost impossible. And I wouldn't buy less than I already do because I almost don't buy any new products due to some (Attention! Bad word following!) colour change. But as a citizen of the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Can we help?

(...) As an AFOL who complains long and loud about TLC actions that I disagree with, I feel I have a duty to chime in here: I will not think less of TLC for moving production to China, and I will not buy less from TLC if they move production to (...)   Re: Can we help?

(...) And some of us go out of our way to find toys that are NOT produced in China. Sometimes, that's dang difficult, but I for one think it's worth the extra effort. JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Re: Can we help?

(...) To be completely clear... we have NOT announced we are moving production to China. Rather we have simply been mentioning that, as good business practice, we are looking at options. As was mentioned elsewhere, 80% of the toy business has it's (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.dear-lego)

  Can we help?

Dear Lego, Is there something we can do to help prevent the move to China? I know it's probably not possible, but can we show either a form of support or try to prove long term harm of the company's image (I wish Lego Co. the best, but expect the (...)   ?Quality Standards?

(...) Could some one clarify, didn't TLG plan-on, or already move some production/ warehouse facilities to Eastern Europe to cut-costs?!? Anyways, i'm betting quality standards will slip in China... (i know, this nation is making better products (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.year.2005)

Hi, by digging through the (URL) "Wühlkisten">, a special action for the german "Idee & Spiel" toy dealers which have mixed Lego bins with about 100 litres each, from which you can grab about 1 litre for the price of EUR 6,99 in a plastic bag named (...)   Re: A Question

(...) Ken, I've been reading the other replies to your post. I like the idea of Atlantis, but I think the idea was (over)done by Disney with their movie just a few years ago.   Its a shame TLC does not make these train cars

Re: LEGO world record set in Montréal

(...) Yeah, I saw this in the paper too and also meant to post something about it. Unfortunately that didn't quite work out. :) So my question to LEGO is - why wasn't this event promoted here?   Re: Worn Tyres and Rusty Rails

  Worn Tyres and Rusty Rails

Jake, please would you put in a request for replacement train motor tyres to be made available separately, so that I can replace ones that have worn down through normal use.   Re: Lego Commersials?

  Re: Lego Commersials?
