  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) Huh! I've never seen set 4291 in stores or anything-- I actually knew the other two (from 6079) but the ones with the tan painting were the ones I was curious about... I notice there's only one on Ebay at present but it's on auction from (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.general)

  RE: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

Well, I had been trying to keep quiet about this, BUT..... I'm currently working [in what little spare time I get] with Wayne Hussey [and with help from several sources] to put together something similar to what you're after, and will possibly (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) I (...) I think you mean 6079. If you look carefully at the lake, it's actually raised to be just above the level of the inside raised part on the 6079 baseplate. Of course the 4291 doesn't have that raised section. Frank (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) I'll add these - thanks. I do have to do a rehash of the roadplate page. I don't have 6584 myself, so I'll add it to the list of scans I need. (...) I've put all alone on the "Canyon with No Raised Corner" page. I have several of these, but no (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) I knew there was something about the baseplates in 6332, but I don't own it and it's too new for Brickshelf, as are the others you list. I'm making a list of scans I need, and will call for volunteers soon. (snip) (...) Pre-minifig stuff I (...) (24 years ago, 24-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

RE: Help wanted finding which 60's sets I've got. [Long parts lis t]

(...) Actually, the 315 Taxi from 1965 had 'O' and '3' bricks on the front as well...Any chance that this is a variation of that set? [I tried building it, and came up about 3 parts short...] Also, there's the 1x2 bricks with 'LEGO' that were used (...)   Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) Well, off the top of my head, I didn't see this one: (URL) Precinct HQ) Also 6584 Extreme Team Challenge has a different baseplate (too recent for brickshelf scans though) And I've also seen another corner raised baseplate that you didn't (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) That would help some, though I was trying to have all the windows open so I could just run down the town list and checking it against your list. I suppose the better way to to it is to just run down the list, and then check for dupes later. (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)

Re: Help wanted finding which 60's sets I've got. [Long parts lis t]

Benjamin, I believe (and I'm only 95% sure on this one) that the ONLY sets that had the 1x1 white numbers and letters were the parts packs (planpacks in UK). The numbers are (letters/numbers) 234/237(late 50's-early 60's), 487/488 (mid 60's) , (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.db.inv)

  Re: Announcing: The Baseplate Finder

(...) Could it be that the useful of a resource is directly proportional to the number of nits that people immediately post about it? If so, I'm about to add to the usefulness-index of the Baseplate Finder... You might want to change the verbiage at (...) (24 years ago, 23-Aug-00, to lugnet.db.inv)
