I am certainly overanalyzing this paraphrase of what was most likely an offhand
remark, but I find this remark puzzling. What part of the fan base would be set
off by returning to the old colors? I do recall seeing a small handful of posts
of people who like the new colors better, but I can't imagine that they are a
significant number even within the microcosm of AFOLs who actually voice (or
would voice) their opinions on such things. My (unscientific of course) reading
of AFOLs is that most are not thrilled about the color change, aren't going to
make a big fuss about it, but wouldn't mind a bit if it switched back. Then
there are obviously those who are more upset and have changed their buying
patterns, etc. But I just don't see any mass of AFOLs who would be upset if the
colors changed back, or especially if the old colors were reintroduced without
removing the new versions from the line.
