OK, I'll give it a go...

Hmmm...I'd say King Ragnoth, a custom fig of mine that will turn his ugly
head a few chapters down the road...(shameless plug:
www.geocities.com/xcalabur18/ch1_1.html for those who have no clue what I'm
talking about :-)
> 2. Of your current characters, which did you build first? Last?
Ragnoth came first, and the last is a nice Bull leader. What makes this
character so cool is I used a dremil and took a little slit out of a set of
horns, and superglued them to a visored helmet (so they move with the
visor). Looks pretty cool, I think.
> 3. Do you have clear good and bad characters, or is it all relative?
Both. Ragnoth is bad, Tabbor is good, and there's a lot of relatives in
between.
> 4. Have you ever built a MOC specifically for a pre-existing character?
Yup. Examples of Ragnoth's throne, the Spitfire Tavern (for Jakob), and
Anyon's Blacksmith Shop come to mind.

Hmmm...well, about 75% of my 327 castle figs are not stock, but I'd say
there's only 20-30 I've taken a dremil/marker/Xacto to...
> 6. Which Castle subtheme has the best figs?
Tossup between DM (I love the torsos), Classic castle (for all the simple
"soldiery" guys and peasants), or KK and Bulls (also for torsos and helmets).
> 7. Is there a type of fig you find easy to make? A type you find difficult?
Hmm...well, suprisingly, I think peasants that don't look like every other
peasant are difficult. You have to add a lot of variety and flavor to make
it work. The easiest is probably some sort of wizard, assasin, merc, etc.
Then all you do is find cool stuff, modify it in different ways, and slap it
together. Instant cool-but-easy fig.
> 8. Have you ever bought a set just for the figs?
Yup, <set:4811> for certain, and small SW sets for peasants. (altho you get
nice non-fig goodies with those)
> 9. Which non-Castle theme is the best source of Castle compatible figs?
SW definitely. Pirates work too if you pull it off.
> 10. Is making a background and/or personality for a fig something you find

It swings both ways. Either you think up a personality and background,
story, etc. first, and build a character around it, or make the fig first.
I find the latter a bit easier, and sometimes more fun. You can play off
their features. Where did he get this scar, why does he wear this garb...
Whew!

| Hi everybody. :-) I thought it would be fun to have a mini-fig survey. I had two different things in mind for this survey, so I used two different terms to better express what I was asking. A character is a fig that you have given a name, a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)
