I know this reply is several months late, but I just caught the thread about
the survey page in the highlighted news... Looks like a fun moment of
distraction.... :) (My answers are focused only for Castle, elsewise
they'd vary greatly.)

King Redcello III.
> 2. Of your current characters, which did you build first? Last?
First: King Redcello III. Last: Bison, Warrior of the Plains.
> 3. Do you have clear good and bad characters, or is it all relative?
Definitely all relative. Each person, and each character, has a different
definition of what good and bad are. In the end, they are all just human.
...or inhuman....or humanoid....or undead...etc... <smirk>
> 4. Have you ever built a MOC specifically for a pre-existing character?
Almost exclusively my MOCs related to the characters and stories I have
developed. If I like them, I adapt pre-designed sets to the story also.

5a) If by custom you mean with parts I have molded or painted in some way,
I think currently I have none. If custom is any fig with parts mixed and
matched so they vary from the original set, then my answer is somewhere
around 50. 5b) All 193 of my Castle figs have some form of background
imagined. 5c) Maybe about 30 of them have a distinct character background
including personality.
> 6. Which Castle subtheme has the best figs?
Hmm. Tough to say. The chest designs from Dark Forest are perfect for
adventurers. The Knights Kingdom are good for soldiers. I still like the
colors of the Black Falcon guys though...
> 7. Is there a type of fig you find easy to make? A type you find difficult?
I never thought of making figs as difficult. I guess this goes back to my
confusion during answer 5a -I might find it more difficult if I customized
more. Typically, any difficulty I have here is due to which elements I have
and which I do not. Based on that, for me soldiers are easiest to come by,
peasants the most difficult (unless I take from my Pirate sets, which I do
often).
> 8. Have you ever bought a set just for the figs?
Oh most definitely. Unlike with the other Themes, I do this most
frequently with Castle sets.
> 9. Which non-Castle theme is the best source of Castle compatible figs?
As has been said, Star Wars offers great alternative robes and hoods and
such. But it also gives a ton of stuff I don't want. So maybe my answer to
this one would be Pirates.
> 10. Is making a background and/or personality for a fig something you find
> simple, or challenging?
Without a doubt I would say simple. A better answer would be "enjoyable"
as I often develop an in-depth character for my story before turning to LEGO
and making a fig to match.

| Hi everybody. :-) I thought it would be fun to have a mini-fig survey. I had two different things in mind for this survey, so I used two different terms to better express what I was asking. A character is a fig that you have given a name, a (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)
