Hi everybody. :-) I thought it would be fun to have a mini-fig survey. I had
two different things in mind for this survey, so I used two different terms
to better express what I was asking. A “character” is a fig that you have
given a name, a background, or a personality. A fig is, well, a fig.

1. What is the first character you remember creating?

Just created my first bunch. I'd previously modified, ie changed arms, legs,
but never thought about creating characters until I saw Wilson Raska's
Castle World stories. I did use samurai armor and Rock Raiders helmets with
police figs to create a SWAT team for my town last year.

2. Of your current characters, which did you build first? Last?

My main knight character, as yet unnamed, followed by two more knights. The
three are loosely modeled after myself and my two brothers.

3. Do you have clear “good” and “bad” characters, or is it all relative?

None are purely good or evil. It all really just depends on what side of the
bed they wake up on :)

4. Have you ever built a MOC specifically for a pre-existing character?

Yes, my stronghold was built to serve them all. One of my guys has his own
modified 6057 Sea Serpent to cruise around in.

5. How many custom (non-standard assembly) castle figs do you have? How
many have some bit of a background, or a personality?

Around 100 non-standard figs with about 40 of them having personalities.
Backgrounds are in the works.

6. Which Castle subtheme has the best figs?

Ninja. My all time favs though are still the Black Falcons. They play a
prominant role in my still-in-development story.

7. Is there a type of fig you find easy to make? A type you find difficult?

No problems making anything so far. My characters are pretty standard
knights and soldiers, etc.

8. Have you ever bought a set just for the figs?

I always check sets for cool figs or parts of figs, especially faces.

9. Which non-Castle theme is the best source of Castle compatible figs?

I check every theme for faces, but Star Wars has been great for both faces
and bodies for peasant types.

10. Is making a background and/or personality for a fig something you find
simple, or challenging?

No problems creating a personality for my characters. What's hard is trying
to figure out how to best express these personalities. Oh, and like a few
others have mentioned, I have difficulties with names. I am working on my
own standardization system for naming.

If you think of some other questions, add them on.

Anyone else base their characters on themselves or people they know?
