  Weird skeletal extra

I recently acquired my ninth set containing a skeleton. All of the previous sets have contained a spare skeletal arm, which is fair enough considering the fragile nature of their connection to the torso. But this latest skeleton also had a spare (...) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Hannibal crossing Alps on Triceratops?

(...) Not too bad, all considered. Creating anything organic with Lego at minifig scale is quite a challenge. With an African elephant, the top of the head is more in line with the back, the back has something of a hump towards the rear, and the (...) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) You... get... ectra parts!? GIMME! Rick (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Weird skeletal extra

(...) Nope! But I will say that out of all my skeleton parts, I've NEVER received a broken arm. Hence I've got scads of extra arms. BUT, the one part I HAVE received broken was a skeleton leg, which looked as though it had been slightly melted. (...) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Weird skeletal extra

(...) I got a few of those chrome sets down here in Australia, and in the 4817 sets, of wich I got 8 of them... I got a spare leg and arm in each one...!!! Almost every set I've got in the past year, has come with extra... extra spears...(in a 3017 (...) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Hannibal crossing Alps on Triceratops?

(...) I'm (...) not (...) I made an elephant last year that's a bit closer to Bruce's description. Whether or not its minifig scale is a matter of opinion, though. The howdah can hold 5 minifigs. Pictures are at (URL) (24 years ago, 15-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Weird skeletal extra

(...) Eventually, mabey you will have enough pieces to make an extra skelleton! "Buy 1,343,113 get 1 free!" as The Lego Group would say. Extra skelleton limbs may look spooky if cliped onto an ax (especially the black axes in set 8510 (LAVA). NICK (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Hannibal crossing Alps on Triceratops?

(...) Mabey the castle guy on his back trains baby elephants? If it could be in battle as a baby, it could fight in wars as an adult... NICK :^L~~ (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Guarded Inn

(...) "Hydro something or other"? Do you mean the "Neptune Discovery Lab (set 6195)"? Sometimes you can find it now for $45.00 , but 45 bucks for one yellow corner piece? Of course, you also get those completely unique door pieces. NICK :^L~~~ (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: What do you call the alien armor shoulderpads?

(...) I've used it: (URL) with this character it is used more as supplimental armor since the torso is what I consider to be ring-mail. I've never thought of a 'style name' for the armor, but my use was inspired by one of the bad guys in part of a (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Custom Helmets

Just thought I'd entertain you with a MOC. (URL) file warning) I will be putting together a "howto" document on my next run (for those who are interested in finding out how its done). Also, if there is much interest-I might get into creating and (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Custom Helmets

Kyle, Those are exactly the kind of helmets I've wished Lego would make for YEARS. I'm very interested in the how-to, and would be interested in buying some. (and nice tunics, too!) Kevin (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Custom Helmets

(...) I think that would be agreat expansion to the Lego Castle line. If only religion didn't complicate the issue, a Crusaders line would be great. Not only does it have real historical interest but Lego could have minifigures of Richard the Lion (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Very nicely executed. Cast helmets or hand-carved? Bruce (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Custom Helmets

The cross did make an appearance in the original castle set, and since it IS the most common charge in heraldry, Lego should very well consider making more of them! I've also always fancied a castle theme taking the crusaders to the holy land, with (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Wheelhouse?

Has anyone made a village wheelhouse (river house)... I'm not quite sure of the name, but I'm sure you know what I mean. How would you guys go about building the paddle wheel? If you have any url's, it would be greatly appreciated. Felix (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.town, lugnet.build)

  Re: Custom Helmets

(...) Sculpy and a Wizard cordless dremel tool (and *very* steady hands). If anyone knows someone who has access to a cast molding machine, perhaps we could consider making a mold and producing plastic replicas? Just a thought. -Kyle (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)

Book I of the Hillsfar Chronicles: A Friend Returns

Hi all, after about a year of just sitting around, reading everyone else's marvelous stories and ballads, I decided I had to do one too. The pictures for this story were taken with Shiri's digicam when she was here last week. I apologize ahead of (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle.org, lugnet.castle) !!
